These influences include our perceptions and beliefs. He shows that our beliefs, true or false, positive or negative, affect genetic activity and can alter our genetic code. A foundational book for those interested in the new rapid healing techniques of which EFT and PSYCH-K are only two.
The Energy Healing Experiments
by Gary E. Schwartz Ph.D
Are energy fields real? And if so, can they be used for healing and health? Yes, according to Schwartz, a professor of psychology, surgery, medicine, neurology and psychiatry at the University of Arizona. He tells marvelous stories of such healings and uses experiments to confirm that the human body is a bundle of energy that can be healed by another such bundle of energy.
The Promise of Energy Psychology
by David Feinstein, Donna Eden and Gary Craig
In the first half of this book, EFT is described and then shown by example how it can be used in a variety of situations. The writeup of the technique itself is explained simply enough that a layperson can understand.
The second half expands on this information by including ways to energize and balance the body’s health, immune system function, etc, using other energy techniques. This is a good intro to energy psychology and a great reference book.
The Molecules of Emotion: The Science Behind Mind-body Medicine
by Candace Pert, PhD
Pert, a self-described “catalyst in the mindbodyspirit revolution in modern medical science,” and once a chief of brain chemistry at the NIH, intermingles stories of her professional and personal life with her theories about neuropeptides, the “molecules of emotion”. This book explains Pert’s work in finding the molecules of emotion and how they can affect health.
The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe
by Lynne Mctaggert.
In this groundbreaking book McTaggart, an investigative journalist, describes scientific discoveries that she believes point to a unifying concept of the universe, one that reconciles mind with matter, classic Newtonian science with quantum physics and, most importantly, science with spirituality. This is the concept of the zero point field, a “cobweb of energy exchange” that links everything in the universe. Fun to read as well as amazing and interesting information.
